Its Christmas time

Here's some photos of our decorations.

Charlies leg is on the road to recovery

I should be able to stop holding my breath when ever he runs, jumps or plays in a couple weeks. They took his cast off and now he should be good but every thing I read says it take twelve weeks for a bone to heal completely. I think he's recovering quickly because the plate they put in there.

Charlie broke his leg in October

It was awful

The pumpkins did not make it folks

The pumpkins I planted in the summer never made it to fall the squash bugs came and it was just too late we never saw it coming I never got one pumpkin. maybe next year.

Plum tree

I will spare you a photo. Our flowering plum tree did not survive just before the summer I'm certain its on its way out. I'm also fairly certain that the neighbor that we paid to pick our tree up that insisted on planting it just tossed it in the hole. I knew better then to let him I should have insisted on doing it my self to clear out the old trees roots, which I don't think he did. I also should have bought tree soil and tilled it all in. Next time i will. The sun and heat is really harsh out here. Every day this week has been 105 - 115 degrees its just unbearable to be outside I will try to plant something in the fall.

Texas sage full blown

I posted photos before when I thought that was it but then a month later the second round of flowers was completely purple it was out of control beautiful.

The grass is growin great

The grass we planted is growing super fine ;0) My baby and I did a awesome job! Last photo is two months later started growing together.

My Pumpkins

These are my pumpkins. I chose pumpkins because I had very little time to get something in the ground if I wanted to grow something this summer and were still working on the rest of the yard right now so I figured hey let them run all over the yard. Also they are supposed to be one of the easiest plants for new gardeners to grow. So I dug up the ground as fast as I could and added some organic matter then planted them and I really cant tell you how long they have been growing but they are. I hope they are ready by Halloween and I have a couple to have on my front driveway. I saw a couple plants starting to form the first male flowers and also the little climber vine things yay.
The first thing I do every morning now when I get out of bed is look out the window to see my pumpkins!

Cleaned the blackhole spare room!

Yes I have concord the awful black hole room and made it a make shift spare room with a blow up mattress. Well at least until I can afford to by a new bed because I refuse to buy one used ick. That's just one of those things you just don't buy used. So do to budget I'm going to go with a Connecticut country shabby sheik theme in there. Im thinking rustic wood bed frame large chalk board hung above the headboard and mason jars and flowers that sort of thing.
Oh also when you come to visit this guest bedroom comes with one complementary lounging Italian Greyhound that likes to snuggle as shown in photo.

Worms eat our garbage!

This is our worm bin. Its a composting method called vermicomposting and its supposed to produce black gold for your plants in 3-4 months that's very fast in composting time. We have shredded paper cardboard and we add our fruit and vegetable food scraps in there.

Fixing up the downstairs office

I'm throwing a baby shower for a friend in June so I feel pressed to make the downstairs as presentable as can be. Clint picked up this used desk for me, of course it had to be painted black to match everything else downstairs. While prepping it I found a crack in the leg and had to fix it before I could paint. I have that done and it all painted now. I just have to Paint up the handles to match. I'm not sure what type of style I want to go with in there but it has to match the black furniture and the yellow/beige walls I don't really feel up to painting the walls. I'm thinking burnt orange and yellow again burnt orange satin valences and maybe fleur de lis stenciled or not maybe wallpaper. Usually I hate both and techniques and find them tacky if not done right. But when we were house hunting I fell in love with one homes bathroom because it had 3"x 3" fleur de lis wallpaper and the background was a pale yellow and the fleurs were a coral It looked stunning. Just not sure what route I want to take to get there or if I want to go down that road.

Bigger photos of the outside of the house

Click on it. It gets bigger.

Very messy rooms

This is my bathroom where all the hairspray and makeup live. The water does not get hot in this bathroom. We don't know why one day we will fix it but not right now. I use the master to shower. If any one knows has any information that could be of assistance please leave a comment.

This is a hallway closet I need to organize as you can see I've started to stock up on things on sale gotta love that love having space to do that.

This is Clint's messy office slash snake room. One day room you will be remade into every computer nerds fantasy.

This room is the room I am most ashamed of. As you can see Clint and I splurged a little... went out and bought our own personal black hole. We store it in what will be the guests spare bedroom one day, has a view of the strip at night. Right now all the gravitational suck has pulled random items that are no longer useful to us into itself.

More photos of around the house

Now a lot of these are before photos with afters we haven't gotten to yet. As you know Clint works More than full time and go's to school too and I work more than full time too. Running a household and creating it's atmosphere takes a lot of time were both pretty sparse on but just to get a feel for what the rest of the house looks like here's going up stairs and a tad more

The living room

The down stairs has an open floor plan so we had to define space with our furniture. Most of our wood furniture is black so I also had a lot of painting to do to make the rest of our furniture match. We have some rubber trees in the manor they add a nice feel. I'm working on getting these satinish burnt orange triangle valances for the downstairs. From behind the loveseat to the right in that sunny room is a little office not really set up yet ahead past the living room is a short hallway leading to a bathroom going right then in the middle the washer dryer another door seperates the garage.
